From my teens through my twenties, I was truly in a ballet bubble. Fortunately, the fact that I was barely aware life existed outside the bubble didn’t keep me from learning about life while inside of it. Though I couldn’t fully grasp it at the time, dance had me steeped in just about every critical human virtue – from work ethic and self-confidence to gratitude and humility. After catching my breath on the other side, I’ve recognized, and amassed, a collection of lessons learned along the way. I call this ‘The Barre,’ as it provides a sound foundation for training and light support for practice so that you can ultimately perform – and live – without it right in front of you.
