Connect with your roots
It’s good to feel stable, balanced, and anchored in life. In dance, I use this analogy with my students: “Let your feet feel like roots of a tree.” This reminds them to stabilize a balance or give a movement more organic strength and depth. There is an energy that comes out of the earth when you are grounded. Allow that energy to flow through you, whether you are firm to the stage floor or temporarily suspended in air.
