Set your expectations on growth
Dealing with the pressure of summer intensive evaluations doesn't have to leave you sunburned.
If you know in advance of heading off to an intensive that your reason for attending is to develop your craft then you have set your expectations for growth. If you attend with goals of being the best, receiving all the attention or walking away with a promotion or recognition then you have set your expectations too high and will more than likely be disappointed or frustrated, Becoming your personal best at your craft starts with setting goals of continued progress. So wear your sunscreen sort of speak and go for the gradual, consistent exposure that shows you are comfortable in your own skin!
